Catherine II Alexeevna Romanova
Russian Empress in 1762-1796
Was born on April 21st 1729. Native Sofia-Augusta-Frederica, Princess of Anhalt-Cerbst. Married to the heir of the throne Grand Prince Peter Fyodorovich on August 21st 1745. Children: Paul I. Proclaimed Empress on June 28th, 1762. Crowned on September 22nd 1762. Died November 6th, 1796. She was buried in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg.
