Was founded in 1761 in Berlin by the industrialist I.E. Gotskovsky, who employed part of the personnel of the Berlin V.G. Vegels plant (which existed from 1751 to 1757) and several fashion designers and artists of Meissen. In 1763, the company was bought by King Friedrich II and became known as the Royal Porcelain Manufactory. By order of the king, the blue scepter became a new brand of porcelain manufactory - a detail of the coat of arms of the Electorate of Brandenburg. After the founding of the Weimar Republic in 1919, the Royal Porcelain Manufactory was renamed the State Porcelain Manufactory, however, the “KRM” brand was preserved. In 1943, the factory suffered from the bombing, as a result of which the production was temporarily moved to Selb, and since 1956 the factory was reopened at its former location in the Tiergarten district of Berlin. In 1988, the manufactory celebrated the 225th anniversary of its founding, in honor of which was again renamed as Royal Porcelain Manufactory. In December 2004, the manufactory was privatized. From February 2006 to this day, the owner and head of this company is Mr. Jörg Woltmann.
