Russian architect and restorer.
Born in 1846. From 1864 he studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts. He received the title of Class Artist of Architecture, 2nd degree in 1871, and the title of Class Artist of Architecture, 1st degree in 1877. Since the early 1880s first assistant architect, then architect of the Moscow Palace Department; supervised the construction and reconstruction of all Moscow buildings belonging to the Imperial Court. He carried out the restoration of the Grand Kremlin Palace, the Small Nikolaevsky Palace, the Amusing Palace and other buildings of the Moscow Kremlin. He was awarded the title of Academician of Architecture in 1881. Supervised the preparation of the Kremlin for coronation celebrations in 1883 and 1896. He was one of the authors of the monument to Alexander II in the Kremlin and supervised its construction.Prepared a project for the tomb of the Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich in the Kremlin in 1905-1906. Died in 1912.
