Russian architect, restorer and teacher.
Born in Malorossiya in 1774. In 1779-1794 studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts, graduated with a certificate of the 2nd degree and a small silver medal. As one of the best students of the Academy, he was sent abroad. He worked on the restoration of the buildings of the Kremlin and the John the Baptist Monastery after the fire of 1812. He took part in the reconstruction of the Kremlin Palace in 1816, participated in the restoration of the Arsenal and the reconstruction of the Small Nikolaevsky Palace in 1824. He worked in the Kremlin in preparation for the coronation of Nicholas I in 1826. In 1829, he participated in the reconstruction of the Amusement Palace. Developed a project of gratings between the GKP and the Armory building in the 1840s. Since the mid 1830s and until the end of his life - Director (Senior Architect) of the Drawing Room of the Moscow Palace Office. Died in 1860.
